Job Description
Job Summary
As a key member of the management team the Group Finance Manager will report directly to the
Group Financial Controller and be responsible for the management and the day to day running of the
finance team and for the monthly reporting for the function.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day management and supervision of accounts team
Work closely with Group Financial Controller and CFO
Assistance with the development and managing financial systems
Review Group Day to day cashflow management
Assist GFC with long term strategic cashflow forecasting
Assist GFC with Budget Preparation
Review of Group VAT returns submissions
Review Landfill Tax returns submissions
Manage completion of Monthly management accounts and reporting by the finance team
Preparation of monthly management accounts for one subsidiary company including profit
and loss balance sheet variance analysis and commentaries to specific deadlines
Actuals and variance analysis
Operational support and analysis for other departments
Assist GFC with Year end support audit year end close of nominal ledger
Group Main payroll liaison with payroll provider

Salary Details :
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm
Fixed Term Maternity Cover 10 to 12 Months
Salary is very much dependant on experience
Skills :
Essential Requirements
Educated to A-level’s or higher
Professional Member of either CIMA or ACCA or ACA
Full UK driving licence
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Significant post qualification experience working in a multi company group
Good knowledge and experience of FRS102 and UK Corporation Tax regime
Good knowledge and experience of using SAP and Sage line 50 preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and review skills
Excellent relationship builder and communicator
A high level of interpersonal skills with a can do attitude
Has previous experience of leading a finance team
Ability to delegate and manage the work of others
