One of our clients in Kidderminster are on the lookout for a Finance Assistant to join their team.
Monday to Friday - Hours: 8:30am-5pm
Starting salary: £28 to 30K
Permanent position
Office based role
You will assist in financial transaction processing and contribute to maintaining a strong control environment. Key responsibilities include
• Producing customer invoices on a timely basis, along with customer KPI’s where required
• Managing credit control, including follow-ups on outstanding payments, and proactively chasing debt
• Supporting the wider finance team and handling ad-hoc duties as needed
ABOUT YOU/EXPERIENCE:
• Proven experience working in a similar role is required
• Experience in preparing and issuing customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prior experience in credit control, including managing outstanding payments, chasing overdue accounts, and maintaining a healthy cash flow
• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Systems (Sage 200 preferable)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel VLOOKUP formulas, data analysis, outlook and Word, is essential.

Experience using Sage 200
Sales Ledger Invoicing
Credit control
Practical experience within an accounting of finance department
Knowledge of Microsoft office products particularly excel
Experience with Sage Accounts or similar packages.
High commitment to quality work and flexibility and eagerness to learn and improve the own knowledge and the services within Accounting and Finance
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and across the business
Ability to operate in an environment of ongoing change
